Taking everything that is happening nowadyas into consideration, I think that the Bus Driver should be congratulated for doing his job properly. Why are veils causing so much problems! It's all because of these bombs and everyhthing else. I'm muslim and i'm so sick and tired of so called Muslims claim that killing and bombing is part of their religion. What happened to peace, forgiveness and harmony. According to my religion, if an enemy of mine comes to visit me at my home, i have to show hospitality. i can not refuse them entry to my house. Islam sees a guest as 'God' In other words, you have to be kind to people, don't hit back. so where all this bombing comes from, i don't know. It's a delicate situation and i should keep my views to myself so that i am out of trouble but it's all b***S*** to me.

i am not a racist or bigot.but in this day and age you have to take precautions.weather it was to see if the women was trying to use someone else's pass.and get a free ride.the bus driver while he is working is also responsible for the safety of his other passengers..i wonder what would have happened if the woman later on was found to have had stolen someones belongings.or had a gun or even worse a bomb..you never know..understandably certain customs. beliefs, cultures& races require that a veil should be worn but lady you get on the bus ...then the rules apply to you too..if you dont like it get a taxi, take your own transport where you can dictate the rules and let the bus driver do his job

Correct me if am wrong wearing a veil is meant to be for women who are not to leave the four walls of their husbands room...so if you have to come out of this jurisdiction then you need to comply with all demands of the new environment you are moving into. So whats good for the geese is good for the gander. If I have to show my face for recognition/identification in order to enjoy a service, why should she not do the same. Hence her husband should take her everywhere in his car where she need not raise her veil.
The bus drivers boss should be sacked instead for double standard and condoning fraud.

I take passport picutres and the woman behind the veil asked that a female worker take the picture.
But i assume there is no qualms in havin a man assemble the application and still see the picture.
I am not making fun of their beliefs, but it makes things real hard in the modern world

The woman should either remove her veil so the driver can check her bus pass or pay the full fare, not turn her off the bus,he is doing his job,and should not be sacked

Its a very difficult question. But I do think they should show their face when required to be identified. And, no, I don't think the driver should have been sacked. I wonder what instructions the Bus Company give their drivers... if any?

This is simlar to the British Airways lady who was suspended for wearing a cross around her neck. Yet the lady working next to her was allowed to wear a veil.
Surely if the veiled lady is allowed to wear a sign of her religion then the christian lady should be allowed to wear a sign of hers.
Political correctness taken way, way too far.

Veil...Not again!! What is this world coming to?! No he shouldn't got the sack!! If she was at the airport, I'm sure she would be asked to remove her veil if it her on her passport to pass the security Point ... I think women in veil just have to bend their rules abit....really...it isn't the end of the world. But hey who am I to Judge!

MMM i believe this. There was a woman at an airport i was at and she went away with female staff to have her passport checked.
However, the bus driver is just doing his job. Maybe he should have got a female passenger to help him out - who knows?
