The above answers are almost correct. You can get married by exchanging vows almost anywhere provided you obtain the licence. However, that is only for the civil ceremony, under Law.
It would be up to the local religious leader to givie permission for a religious ceremony to be held anywhere other than a church (or other religious building).
Assuming the marrying couple are both Christians, why not apply for a license to have the civil ceremony where you want and then go to the Church straight after to have the marriage blessed?

Why would you want to have a religious ceremony in, say, a hotel? A religious ceremony should be in a place that has been consecrated to God, in my opinion. I can see that someone might want to get married in a beautiful natural place - beach, garden etc but go there afterwards and get married in Church.
