All the shutter buttons, etc. are on the right side of all the cameras I've seen. HELP!

I think it's easy enough to learn how to push the button with one finger on your right hand, even for left-handed people. Especially since everything else is automated. They would never sell enough cameras to make all the re-engineering profitable.

I've known ONE left-handed person who learned how to use the camera upside-down, though.

I own 8mm Digital Camcorders and i am happy with the output from them. My nephew uses DSLR's and gets great results... video included. The image resolution of the DSLR will be higher than that of the standard VHS/Betamax/8mm systems for sure, if this is the only consideration then the DSLR will win, but if it comes down to the feel and the use of REAL tape and real editing techniques, digital tape is great fun, and has a better feel to it. I collect and repair old tv cameras reel to reel video recorders etc etc, and i see some really poor quality images, but i get a buzz from all of this. You are right with the changeable lenses, this gives you a lot more freedom for a variety of shoots.

My daughter loves to try to take pictures! However, she was born without a right hand, and this makes things a little more complicated. So if anyone hears of such a thing I would love to know about it! I wonder if the lefties started a drive or petition to camera makers, if they would consider creating a camera for left handed people...

im not sure. but try to look for one that is for left handed, like if you contact the supplier or something, they could make you one, or might already have,
the main reason why there arnt any left handed ones is because you should be bale to get used to a right handed one, just look on the internet for one and then maybe ask at a store if they have that one. i think i have seen left handed ones, but im not entirely sure

Turn it around and look through the flash window, then hit the shutter, it should work. :P
