I've always heard that 'Country Time' lemonade is good to drink to stop stones from forming. That and real lemons, if you can stand to eat one. And my doctor told me to drink lots and lots of water to keep mine from returning.

cranberry juice is apparently good.
Also stay AWAY from tomatoes they are also bad if u already have kidney stones, as they can cause recurrence, but if ur just tryin to avoid it, then eat it in low moderations.
Excessive proteins can also contribute to kidney stones, so it would be a good idea to regulate protein intake and not to go above the daily recommended allowance.
hope this helps

I have heard that eating bitter foods is good to clean out your kidney - try things like green pepper, horseradish, radishes, beetroot, grapefruit, lemons

lemons... the acid in the lemon can break down the stone and make it easier to pass
