Or makes most happy, gives you overwhelming feelings, etc. And if you don't believe in any religion, what quote or saying that affects you the most? And mention your religious belief please.

I'm a Muslim and I have many Qura'nic verses that touch me, but I use some verses in my life, and I believe they gave me strength to go through many of my difficulties.

"O Lord! Comfort my chest (heart)"

“And ease things for me"
"And untie the knot of my tongue so they can understand me"

And also:
Luqman -31:22

"And whosoever submits his face to God, while he is a good-doer, then he has gasped the trustworthy handhold. And to God return all matters for decision".

And I love this description:
An-Nur (The Light) 24:35
"God is the light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His light is a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east, nor of the west, whose oil will glow so forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. Light upon light! God guides to His light whoever He wills. And God sets forth parables for the mankind, and God is The All-Knower of everything”.

Phil 4:6-7

6(A)Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by (B)prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

7And (C)the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will (D)guard your hearts and your (E)minds in (F)Christ Jesus.

This verse tells us that when we are going through troubles, we are to talk to God about the problems. The promise of the verse is not that God will fix all you problems, let you win the lottery, buy you a new Porsche, but rather, by giving your problems to Him He will grant your peace in your heart.

Hi, I have many that are a great blessing to me. Isaiah 57:15 Says. For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose Name is HOLY: I dwell in the high and holy place with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah was a prophet of God in Israel over 2, 500 years ago. In Isaiah chapter 53 he tells about the one who would come to die for the sins of the world. Another one I love very much is John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life. John 14:6 Jesus says. I am the way. the truth, and the life, no man can come to the Father accept by me. Jesus is saying that he is the only way to God. If this is not true then Jesus is a liar and is not a good man but a great deceiver. I hope this help you. Paul

Am a Muslim too alhamdulillaah.

And the one verse that always gets to me is:

when I hear Soorah Al Baqara, Verse 255:

PICKTHAL: Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.

And ofcourse, the story of Yunus and the prayer he read:

...Three layers of darkness enveloped him, one above the other; the darkness of the whale's stomach, the darkness of the bottom of the sea, the darkness of the night. Yunus imaged himself to be dead, but his senses became alert when he found he could move. He knew that he was alive and imprisoned in the midst of three layers of darkness. His heart was moved by remembering Allah. His tongue released soon after saying: La ilaha illa Anta (none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) be You (above all that evil they associate with You), Truly, I have been of the wrong doers." (21:87 Quran)

Psa 103:1 Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
Psa 103:3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
Psa 103:4 who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
Psa 103:5 who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psa 103:6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
Psa 103:7 He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel.
Psa 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
Psa 103:9 He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever.
Psa 103:10 He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
Psa 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
Psa 103:13 As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.

when elijah goes to the cave to tell G-d about the evil things the israelites have done and asks G-d to punish them and G-d tells elijah to go stand on the mountain before Him... and strong winds broke the mountain...

"Hashem is not in the wind.
and after the wind came an earthquake...
but Hashem is not in the earthquake.
and after the earthquake came a fire...
but Hashem is not in the fire.
and and after the fire came a still, small voice..."
- 1 kings 19

it means that G-d is not in the obvious... he is in the small voice voice that is deep inside us.

Psalm 91 (King James Version)

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
