I know some equate abortion to murder saying that killing a child is wrong. If denying life is wrong why isn't contraception banned? It does the same thing. Why should killing a convicted felon be more right than killing a child? Both are taking away a life, which is irreplaceable.

People that say that abortion is good or bad aren't realising that this is not a black or white subject. Good/Evil doesn't exist, it's all your perceptions.

Abortion can save a couple from having their potential careers ruined and poor finances challenged and it can also emotionally damage them for the rest of their lives. It might make them feel better that they took a life if they didn't want a child at all (as in NEVER in thier life) or wonder if a child could motivate them to work harder. Opinions people. Please don't criticise those that hold opinions/religions/ethics that don't corform to yours.

Anyway looking for responses.

OK...in my opinion, abortion is murder anyway you look at it. If you don't ant or can't afford the child, let a couple that can't have children, but desperately want them take care of the little one. The thing is with killing a convict adn child, the child has done nothing wrong, where as teh convict was given that sentance for a reason. The reason Contraceptives are out there is so that you do not have to get an abortion, you are just blocking that path, so that you can have children when you are ready, even if you are never ready or never want children.

If you don't think good and evil exist, then a lot of other reasoning goes out the window.

As for your abortion/birth control argument, there is a big difference between not allowing life to begin and stopping a life that is already started.

For some reason it is legal to kill a fetus but the minute that fetus is born it is no longer legal to kill it. It's the same baby. That's where our society draws the line, though (unfortunately). I draw the line as soon as there is life. Life is sacred and not for us to kill.

I'd rather ruin a career than kill a child any day. We were very poor when my daughter was born but she has brought us so much joy. How does having kids emotionally damage people for the rest of their lives? Abortion is what emotionally damages people for the rest of their lives. If they don't want a child then they should either not conceive one or give the child up for adoption. Killing your children is wrong, even if they are only three inches tall.

You might want to go read some sites about fetal development. It might astound you how developed even a little embryo is. For example at 3 weeks (a week after the mom misses her period) the baby's little heart is already beating. By eight weeks (and a lot of abortions are still performed at this point) the baby has all its organs (seriously, even including appendix, spleen, not just the big ones). These are tiny little people and they deserve to be protected, not killed.

I agree with you that abortion is very not a black and white or good and bad.

I agree with aboriton in certain circumstances ie mother will die if pregnancy is continued, 13 year old girl raped by uncle who does not want the baby. Should be really deny these people the 'right' to have an abortion?

However, I am venemously against aboriton when it is used as an alternative contraception or 'when the timing isn't right' for example a 26 year old married couple, own their home, and have good jobs, they can afford this child. But want an aboriton because they didn't plan on kids for another few years. I believe that is wrong. People who have 4 or 5 abortions , why are they not using contraception correctly?

Personally, I don't think I could ever have an abortion, but I think it has to be the mother's right to choose. What right do I (or anyone else) have to tell someone what to do with her body?

When the pro-life activists kill abortion doctors, it's just assinine because a) the doctors don't seek out the women and give them abortions. the women seek out the doctors; and b) what warped rationale makes it okay to take the doctor's life when you feel so strongly against taking the life of a fetus?

The bottom line is that there is no right answer. Some people will always feel that it's wrong, and other people will always feel that it's right. Everyone should be entitled to their own opinion without fear of being attacked by those who disagree.

Everyone views this subject differently. I put myself in the middle of pro-life and pro-choice. I believe abortion is okay when it comes to the mother's health, pregnancy due to incest, and rape. I do not agree with abortion as a birth control. People know the consequences of their actions when having sex. They should know protection is never 100% and there is always a risk of pregnancy. It may be the wrong timing, but that is life. If you do not want a baby, do not have sex.
Denying life doesn't mean you have to ban all contraception's. Denying life is ending life. Every time you have sex does not mean you're going to get pregnant. Is this denying life? No, it's nature taking it's course.
So, I must ask this question to the one asking....
Do you view having a vasectomy and a tubal litigation the same as ending/denying life?

I am sorry but you cannot compare aborting a innocent child to putting a convicted murder to death.

Abortion is wrong when it is used as a form of birth control. There are too many options out there nowadays to just "get pregnant on accident." If you are dumb enough to continue to have sex without protection you are eventually going to conceive, and aborting a child because you were not responsible enough is not en excuse. If a person was raped etc, fine abortion is warranted, but like I said before there is really no excuse for it in today's society and I think people get abortions way to much.

i don't agree with abortion but with contraception i do agree because it prevents you from getting pregnant, it is not killing a child it is just preventing one from growing there. abortion is when there is already a life growing and you take that life away. so they are completely different. i feel know one has the right to take life away. it that life is not meant to be then the women would have a miscarriage. other than that you give the child to someone who wants but can't physically their own. i mean everyone has their own choice but i couldn't live knowing i killed my child it is hard enough when you have a miscarriage that wasn't your fault but for me to cause the loss of life i would suffer very much.

and children are not problems they are our life and how some can think that abortion is not murder is beyond me it is the same as hitting a kid with a car or shooting them with a gun their is no difference.

if a women can raise a child or just carry it to term and give it up for adoption that came from being raped then why can't women who choose to lay down with a man do the same.

i was sixteen when i had my son it didn't stop me from a career it just changed my direction a bit and made me work harder but i finished high school, i got a certificate for surgical technology and paid for school to get my cdl license then the money to buy my tractor. so now i am 24 yrs old and the youngest female owner operater (owns truck pays expenses). so i would say my son made me find the job that i love doing because before i had him i was going to go to school to be a heart surgeon. he didn't ruin my career he enhanced it. and he loves proving all the kids wrong about women driving tractor trailors.

According to the Bible abortion is equated with murder. There are different interpretations to the Bible--and that's what's so great and bad about it. People decide what it means.

"If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine." Exodus 21:22

God also gave us free will though. He gave us (basically) a choice to go to heaven or hell by believing in Him and His Son. This is why I'm pro-choice. I believe abortion is wrong, I would never support the choice to get one. I would try to convince someone otherwise. I would, however, support a woman who has gone through a abortion and help her spiritually, emotionally, and physically recover. Why? Because I have a personal relationship with God and feel that is what He wants and what He would do.

You're just looking for opinions. This is too heated of a topic to deal with here. That's why politicians can't agree as what to do about it.

Is it murder? What do YOU think? Abortion can "save a couple from having their potential careers ruined". Did you REALLY mean to say that? The death of a baby can "save" them? hmmmmmm. That's sad. The death of their unborn child can SAVE them from ruin and poor finances and SAVE them from emotional damage! All this from killing an unborn child???????? Wow. It's all so simple now. It's like a light bulb just went on.
By taking the life of an unborn (innocent) child, people can have it all without all the hang-ups and burdens. We'll be successful. We'll be happy and emotionally stable.
And what do you think about partial-birth abortions. You must really think those are life-changing for the couple! Not to mention to the child.
Oh yeah, if it's NOT a baby, then it's NOT murder. But it IS a baby, so what should I call it?
No, this isn't a black and white issue. But it's a child who is totally innocent..... do NOT compare this to a convicted felon!

it somewhat is basically a hundred% homicide in case you're a non secular fundamentalist. in case you at the instant are not, you ought to use reason to seem on the difficulty in extra intensity. observing the country you reside in, abortion many times isn't homicide if it somewhat is complete interior the 1st 3 months of the being pregnant. interior the united kingdom (my usa) it somewhat is completely criminal (ie no longer homicide) to have an abortion if the being pregnant is decrease than 24 weeks previous. the comparable is the case in quite lots all western worldwide places i comprehend approximately, and that i assume south africa is the comparable. Any later than that and you isn't allowed to have one until eventually your guy or woman existence is at risk. while attempting to settle on if it somewhat is homicide or no longer, bear in mind that a foetus isn't someone yet, it does not sense soreness or emotion like a baby or an person. The question is, at what element does a foetus grow to be developed sufficient to initiate feeling soreness and emotion?
