How old are you? Are there customs/backgrounds/ethnicity issues that are causing your parents to red-flag the relationship? Without a few more details it's gonna be kinda hard to advise you either way.
>>BUT<<
If you're old enough to be making your own decisions (18+), then all you can do is what your heart tells you, giving your parents time to accept it on their own rather than forcing the issue....but also taking into consideration what thier concerns and feelings are.
But if you're like 16 or so and younger?? Chances are you're emotionally to young to really know what "love" is. You may sincerely care for this girl, and that's wonderful...but your parents may just be trying to protect you from getting to serious to soon. They love you and just want to help guide you through the right choices.
If they are that strong-willed against it for whatever reason and at whatever age, it isn't something that you're going to be able to "convince" them of--any more than they can convince you to give up on this. Acceptance may come with time-as long as you don't disrespect your parents in this matter.

How do yo know you really love a girl?

Do you encourage her to study and get the best grades she can? Do you encourage her to pick out a college and try for scholarships? Do you encourage her to take care of herself and be nice ....no super nice...to her parents and siblings?

Do you show up and her house...after being invited, and remember what my mother said "never go anywhere without bring something...anything" "don't go to someone's house empty handed"!

Do you keep your phone calls to a minimum so her parents know you trust their daughter?

Do you take care of yourself...in school, in a job, and with a good attitude toward your parents?

If you do all of these things, you will be very busy and not have all that time to just focus on a girl.
You will make YOU the primary focus and be the best, the very best that you can.....and that should last a lifetime!
......The real focus which is inside of YOU needs to be first!

You will know when you are in love and if you are your parents have not one word or right to interfere, unless you are under the age of 18, with your feelings. You are the one that has to spend the rest of your life with her. LOL.

If you have to get on here and ask, you are too young to even know what love is, and the fact that you have mentioned your parents proves it.

have you sat down and really listened to their reasons, they might have good ones that you are just to close to see, but if that is not the case ultimately you will leave than anyway to start a new family with someone you love. If that is this girl go, but try to leave the door open for your parents to come around.

why do they dissapprove? it really depends on the reason what advice we can give you. Is it an age thing? religious? cultural? my husband's parents didn't like me, but we got married anyway. he dosen't speak to his family, but that's ok for us. You need to figure out if being estranged from your parents for many yeas is really what you want. Your parents might have good reasons for not liking her, but they might not. Maybe you should talk to a counselor, and they can help you sort things out.

That's a hard one. Can't you just get a girl they do like? I know it's hard but parents normally don't want to change. If it makes it easier then do know that they probably *think* that it's in your best interests.

sometimes parents are right...give them a chance
and think why they dont like her
if they are not right then follow your heart but
if you think there´s a chance that they could be right then analize why and see if she can change what they dont like
