My son is the very same way...well almost..mine just doesn't like tryin new things...My son gets alot of variety..it's just that he won't try them...My husband has tried to force him to try them, which only gets us to the point that he gags on what ever he tries...I have found out that by tricking him..which i know it's not right...but that usually works to some extent...u can get him to eat the veggies he needs not wants...try makin him an egg omelet with veggies...or add a veggie to pizza....how about stir fry? or maybe a taco salad ...or grilled chicken salad..dont' use them as a main meal like we would...but offer them with some steak maybe...or make a veggie lasagna along with a salad...How about watchin some football and bringing out the veggies with a coldcut tray...add some dressing and they will try it...specially if they run out of the coldcuts! good luck!

Hmmm. It's harder with adults. You can hide grated carrots in a lot of things, like meatloaf or meatballs, pasta sauce, salads, even cake. The same with grated zucchini. Anytime you use ground beef, you can add some finely chopped mushroom to it, they'll blend right in.
Broccoli or cauliflower can be made enjoyable if you add cheese sauce, even just heated up cheez whiz can do the trick. He may eat more cheese than veggie, it doesn't matter.
Onions can also be disguised in many things (meat, sauce, etc) if you chop them up small enough.
Use the one bite rule. Whatever you make, he must try at least one bite. You never know, he may surprise you both and actually enjoy some of the veggies you prepare! If he just says "I don't like that" before even tasting, you'll never know.
PS: Don't be too hard on the mom, some kids are just really stubborn about food. MY mom did everything imaginable to get my sister to eat her fruits & veggies, but to this day she's extremely picky and won't even touch many things.

You say he can't eat more things, yes he can,but he wont. If he wants to learn to like more things, he can try the same way I use to teach my children to like more things. I would put 2 bites of everything I cooked on their plates, they could eat the 2 bites of the everything and then have as much of anything they wanted or they could refuse to eat the food and get no desert. I had a sister-in-law who allowed her children to eat only what they wanted. She had a son who would eat nothing but meat and bread, absolutely no vegatables, no fruits, and no milk. He accidently got shot (playing around) in the stomach. He almost died not because of the wound, but because he was very maulnutrited. In the hospital, the doctors told his parents that if he did not eat what was on his plate, he would die. He spent over a month in the hospital. I SWEAR THIS IS THE TRUTH. If your boyfriend wants to change he can, he needs to take at least 2 bites of everything you do everything you 2 eat together and the vegatable he likes the most on that plate, he should eat all of it. .

Yes but consider that most people in the world don't have near the variety as the western nations you probably eat a larger variety of foods than most of the people in the world. You may be allergic to some of the foods you don't care for or have a bad memory of how they were prepared the first time you ate them.

don't try to help him, unless he asks you. it's going to feel like scolding and judgement no matter how good your intentions, or worse nagging. and blaming his mom will definately get you no where, i hope to God you haven't said that to him, girlfriends always lose the mom battle. eat whatever you want, offer to let him try it, if he doesn't want to drop it. he's an adult, it's his issue, let him deal with it.
