Ask your vet. Always the safer way to go

Well no cast should be left on a puppy any longer than 10 days or so. I am hoping your vet changed the cast several times to allow the puppy's leg to grow. Anyway, just ask your vet, or if you already did, then follow the instructions they gave you. After all, even if your puppy is active, that could just be because the cast is preventing the pain that would otherwise be there if the cast was off.

How long did the vet advise? You will need to take her back to the vet to check to see that the leg has healed correctly. If you choose to take it off you are posing a risk to tyour pet. ONLY a vet can determine when the cast should come off and whether or not the leg has healed properly.

You need to leave it on as long as the vet tells you. Also you need to make sure to keep taking the pup back to the vet for rechecks since the pup is growing and the cast may need to be resized to go with growth. If it isn't rechecked you can be in for some serious problems.

When the vet says you can unless of course you want your dog to limp for the rest of its life like mine does because my ex was a moron who took the cast off early and the leg wasnt fully healed so my dog limps to this day and its been 8 years.

That is for your vet to decide... bones take a long time to heal, no matter how "fine" it seems, don't try to take it off without vet approval
