I think every father shouts at his children every now and then. Some kids need putting in line. But if he is shouting at you, then just tell him that you really don't appreciate it and that he should try to calm down and talk to you when he is calmer because otherwise things will be said that you will both regret.

Look him in the eye and say that you love him but you don't like him shouting at you. Be honest and open and he will listen. UNLESS he is on drugs or a drunk then stay clear of him and do what he says. Go to your school and talk to someone about it. They can help you.

dont worry all dad are some what a like they shout but they love you more than what they shout,.

Maybe you've missed something here young lady. Are you sure he's not hard of hearing. What's his history. Don't be to quick to judge, like some others here.
I am hard of hearing, from the service, my kids never knew and I never told them, I didn't know myself.
Does he turn the volume up on the T.V., the radio, does he speak loud to others. does he twist his head when listening. He may be hard of hearing. Bring it up gently, he may be ashamed of it.

lol my old mans always having a go at me to but im 20 so i talk back loads as well. My dad is a proper hypocrite, he tells me all the shi* i do wrong but when its him whos messing up its a big joke. *sighs* cant wait to move out

MINE TOO, BUT I TALKED HIM INTO RELATING TO HOW I FELT WHEN HE SHOUTED AT ME.
GRADUALLY IT STOPPED..............
