Hi
I would like the chapter and verse in the Bible in regaurds to the following
Divorce and relationships after marriage?
Being judgemental of others, as a christian?
Being humble?
Charity, what is means to be charitable?
I ask as I know there is some refernce to these questions in the Bible. But can not remember which book, chapter or verse.

My daughters boyfriend has infered that she is better than any of us, because she goes to church and Bible studies every week. What an ego! I find this comment offencive, very unchristian like, and far from be humble or non judgemental.

Her ex-husband is a lovely bloke, as is his son. She has a boyfriend which does not sit well with me when she wines about her son and daughter living together! Kind of hypocritical.
I would like to remind her what is says about divorced couples taking on a relationship after marriage. Along with a few other things.

It has been years since I did studies, so would appriciate your help!

Thank you!

I have made an mistake, it should have been my daughter's boyfriends MOTHER, who is the one inferring she is better than us.

She sadly plays her children (who are adults) off against each other, and including the grandchildren. Which is really sad, and a very cruel thing for a parent to do.

Thankfully my daughter has no children yet, and has no wish to until she is married. She is still young and knows her father and I would be very disapointed, if she was to become pregnant.

Thank you

1 Corinthians 13 is the Love chapter, Romans 2 verses 1-11 talks about judging. If you want Charity just stay in the Love chapter. Being Humble 1 Peter 5 verse 5, you can also go to the Old Testament in Psalms 9 verse12, 10 verse 12, 34 verse 2, 35 verse 13, 113 verse 6.

She sounds like the kind of christian that drives people away from Jesus .I'm glad you've seen through her bad attitude and
haven't turned away from God.That's quite a list and it might be good to do a bible study for yourself. Some that I know are >Rev 3:16,, 2nd Corinthians, the end part of the book of Malachi,(deals with divorce and how God hates it)If you have a chain reference bible you can look up the verse in the middle and see the other references of it in your bible study.I hope this helps and although she may be a little off please pray for her because she might need it .

God bless

Hi Reka, I'm sorry you've had such an experience with your daughter's boyfriend, but just because a person goes to church, that does not make them a Christian--a true Christian is one who is living as Jesus did, and He said that people would recognize His disciples by their love (John 13:35). If you can't see His love in them, then it doesn't really matter how much they claim to follow Him, because it would appear that they aren't!

You can do a topical search on BibleGateway.com, but if your daughter is intent on ignoring God's Word and God's will, there's not much you could say to her that would sink in. The best thing you can do is immerse yourself in the Word again and pray for your daughter to seek God's will instead of her own.

If I can help in any way, feel free to drop me a line at chad@jesusfreak.com. Take care.

Don't worry about it because it is a battle you will never win. Those nuts are set in their ways and no amount of logic or proof will sway them from their tiny world.Just feel sorry for them walking around deaf, dumb and blind.
