No. Luckily what I do for a living isn't my life. My job is just a means to an end. It's what I do when I'm not at work (painting, writing songs, singing, playing guitar, photography, celebrating the beauty in the world to counteract all the ugliness I see in my job) that defines me. If only I could make money doing the things I love! I'm working on it! Or maybe I'll win the lottery & not be a slave to money anymore. Have the freedom to do whatever I want...

How about you? Do you like your job?

Well, i'm a student and i'm happy enough learning.

However, i feel like i'll be happier when i'm done being a student at university and start actually doing something related to the medicine field. Maybe then i'll actually feel like i'm contributing to mankind.

After reading this question again, i have a more concrete answer.

No, i am not doing the work i want to do. I'm still in this learning process with my soul and mind and body. I don't think i'm ready to do what i want to do.

No but I'm close and I like what I do so that's ok too. I originally intended to be a Mechanical Engineer but got my degree in Human Services Management and have ended up being a Chemical Engineer/Lab Tech so it's all good.

Yes!

It has taken a long time, but I love my job. I am a First Aid Teacher, and carer/Youth worker working with young people with disabilities. The only problem is that due to ill health I can not work full time.

I am doing the work I need to do. I need to do more. I am extremely grateful to God for life. Wants are like wishes. I wish to be superman. Wishing and knowing, are not always the same though ;)
