seen in fulham in april.

I would suspect it was a Jay ( a member of the crow family ) this time of year they seem more noticeable due to their habit of collecting and storing acorns for food, quite often they make a raucous squawk as they fly off.

the only bird with that (vague) description that i know of is a guinea fowl.
as to it being seen in fulham....well i'll take your word for it as i'm in glasgow & can't see fulham from here.
