Both the Israelis and the Palestinians say that God told them, "This Land is Yours". Since then they have been fighting and killing each other. Shouldn't he come down and straighten out the problem that he created ? Is this not being a troublemaker considering how many lives have been lost?

Do you think that God messed up on this one?

It's ironic that both sides hide the fact that God told both the same thing. Remember that these ancient people were very ignorant (they thought that the earth was flat) and lacked the knowledge to understand what they witnessed. You can never solve a problem if you refuse to deal with , where the problem came from. It;s a shame that so many lives continue to be lost

Religion has been the cause of more violence than any other. Religion was not created by God, it was man who did that.

As to the Palestinians beleiving the land is theirs, they were told that by the Roman and Ottoman empires, as well as the British. They even have the deeds that say so. How would you react to land your families had lived on for generations suddenly being taken from you because another group claimed God said it was theirs? This kind of action violates international law.

The entire world, except Israel, considers the West Bank and Gaza to be occupied territory that Israel must leave. Unfortuantely whild the recent war against Hezbollah was goining on, Israel continued and even escalated settlement activity.

Civillians should never be targets, for EITHER side. On the other hand, when France was occupied by Germany we respected their rights to mount an opposition. Expecting the Palestinians to sit quietly while they see their land stolen and have no rights at all in the eyes of their occupier is stupidity.

Below is documentatin of human rights issues. The situation as it stands now will not lend itself to a peaceful solution. Both sides need to be preasured by a truly honest broker (forget the US) to achieve a resolution.
The myth that one side honors agreements and the other does not is also addressed in my links.

and both are probably not correct. More likely Man has distorted what "God" told them....if at all. I'm not even really sure God has ever communicated "directly" with us.....and if he has it has not been for a very long time....I would think that a being so far advanced would think of us like we think of ants.....yes they do some amazing things but that's about it. I think if you "lay the role of God" then you would do it far more subtle....in fact if you do it right people would not even know you exist or that anything has been done at all.

Besides....why would God have to justify itself to any of us ?

Let me put it this way:
The 280 million Arabs have many lands, the 5 million Jews in the Mid-East have one tiny parcel of land to call home.
If the Arabs put down their weapons, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down its weapons, there will be no Israel.
If you look in the OT, God did promise the Jewish nation the land of Israel. It does not mention any Palestinians because they did not exist: Palestinians are really Jordanians, and they belong in Jordan, not in Israel.
