if your debit card is a "check card" and has a visa or mastercard logo on it, it works just like a credit card, only you have to have the funds available in your checking account in order for the purchase to be approved.

In the U.S. and other countries if it has Visa or MasterCard symbol it will work

If your card has Solo, Maestro, Visa delta, Visa plus. It will work if your bank and the website you use support those cards. Some banks require you to activate this feature. Visa Electron cards can sometimes be used as either a Solo/Maestro debit card or a Visa credit card. Don't not give out your pin number on the web or by phone. Only use your pin number at point of sale terminals.

In the U.S. you can now use your atm card to pay bills. Phone, gas, electric, etc if your card has the Star or Nyce symbol. Make sure you check run through the debit card system, when paying the bill online. Transaction fees and limitations may still apply depending on the type of account you have. Do not give out your pin number.

When asked for your credit card information just provide your debit card. Most processors will take your card as valid payment.
