the one u loved ended up being a jerk and hurting u and now ur walls r up high. he wasn't who u thought he would be.
it seems like anymore trust is another highly abused emotion.
i think its alrt to have walls to a certian point, until it becomes unhealthy.
don't let it eat u up, cause in the end the only one u hurts is u. wouldn't u hate it the perfect one slipped away, because of the past.
learn from the past and try and not make the same choices next time. take all the time u need to get to know him first, if he doesn't like it then he is not the rt one.
of course i am guessing on ur situation.
good luck

I think it is hard for many people to put complete trust in anyone. But it also depends on the degree of trust you're talking about. If you trust no one 100% of the time then yes that can be a big problem.

It's unwise to trust someone completely without knowing them, but starting out not trusting is going to keep you apart from truly great people. You should try to have a watchful, safe trust with an exit strategy in place.

Do you trust yourself? Do you know what you like and want and how to get these things? This is the big question in beginning to trust.
