Too much information has come out to dis-prove the "He is Perfect" stuff. Can anyone argue the fact that, knowingly calling pedophiles to the priesthood and seeing them molest children for so many decades without intervening is a very grave sin? He can't pray to himself for forgiveness. That's like letting the Fox watch the hen-house.

If a person had the power to prevent a child from being sexually abused and didn't they would be scorned. However when it's God, either the blindfolds come on or the excuses come out of the woodwork.

Your question is an interesting one. Although I think I might have a better analogy for you to use..... the massive flood that wiped out the planet i.e. Noah and his ark..... or the Cities of Sodom and Gomorrah when the cities were wiped from the planet.
Could it be God INSTEAD of "sinning" has basically given up on us ? I certainly hope not.....and I do not feel that way....but is it possible ? He is wise and all knowing (compared to us - certainly) but the concept of absolute perfectness is a bit much to fully comprehend - let alone agree with. For example I think making us mortal with a very limited span of existence was a grave mistake - obviously since we can die.

GOd can't sin. It is contrary to his nature, HIs nature being-holiness, which is also the reason He hates sins. Pedophiles in the priesthood doesn't prove that God can sin, it only proves that the priesthood is imperfect. God and religion are two different things, and people who confine God in religion are gravely mistaken.

Unlike me and the rest of us, God does not sin. Priests who lie about abusing children probably lie during the selection process also.

Why would a priest pray to himself for forgiveness? Even though they claim to be able to forgive people for their sins during "confession". That's a crock, a priest cannot forgive anyone for their sins. They ask god for forgiveness just like the rest of us. When god sins? God doesn't sin.
