A tree does not hold any prejudism in terms of who gets to enjoy its fruits.
Human beings should learn from them.
Me however,... i fear i'm in a constant state of winter. I have nothing to give except my empty branches and trunk.

The tree offered its fruit freely, but Adam and Eve didn't eat from the tree of life--they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And using your metaphor, it could be said that the latter tree offered its fruit freely, but Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command that they not eat of that tree.

The tree rarely hits back or defends itself, it is using any creature who picks and eats it's fruit to spread it's seeds and provide a nice bit of fertilizer for the soil the seeds will eventually fall into, clever aren't they? or is it just the result of evolution through selection.
