I have got a Fuji Finepix digital camera, but my computer won't accept the software for it, I can hear the disc going merrily around and around and nothing is coming up on screen to say it is downloading or whatever, I do what the manual says to do but nothing. I am a bit naive where computers are concerned but don't usually have probs of this sort, any help would be great. Thanks.

OK, thanks for A's so far. I am on Windows XP. On the disk it reads. FINEPIX VIEWER Ver, 4.0
(for Windows)
It definitely is 4.0
Maybe it is the disc at fault and not me?

The software may be searching for your digital camera as part of the process of installation. So I suggest you plug in the digital camera while you are doing the installation of the software.

Firstly, plug in your digital camera which is on. When you put int the CD, do not allow the CD to autorun by HOLDING on the SHIFT button your keyboard. Next, open Windows Explorer, go to your CD drive. Then, click on the README.TXT/ README.PDF for more information before you install. Once you are ready, click on the SETUP.EXE. Follow the questions given by providing the answer as accordingly. Choose TYPICAL if there is such option, do not try ADVANCE for the time being. When asked on space available in your hard disc, check to make sure you have enough hard disc space before installing if not the software would not be able to be install. If all step above is right, you should be able to install the software. By the way, if asked on your choice to register online, ignore this question for the time being.

Well, read the whole manual.
Then, check to see if it's compatible with the Window's version you're useing. Then if it's not, right click, click "compatibility options" Select run for until right. Or you might have screwd up the disc. Or your disc driver. Or maybe the data is corrupted. =\ Unno.

There should be a help desk number in the booklet. You may have a faulty disk. Give them a call straight away - it should be manned 24-7.
