27mhz or uhf cb radio?

whats better and more popular? a 27MHz AM CB radio or a 5W 40Ch UHF CB
and why?

depends on what you intent to use the radio for.
The am set has a greater range but lower audio quality...uhf gets around this by using repeater stations to get a greater range.
currently in australia uhf is the unit of choice but with that comes cluttered channels....
