Do you as Christians, agree with the death sentance that has just been handed down in the Saddam Hussein trial? Please state your reasons either way.

As an atheist, I think he should be kept in a four by four by four box for the rest of his life. Let out for 10 minutes three times a day to eat and crap.

You all might believe that it was just but how are the people there going to see it. He was captured by an invading force and tried by a picked court under a government headed by a faction that had tried to assasinate him in the past. The fighting has already started and you don't have enough troops to contain it. I think that all this sentence will do is make him into a martyr. I think it would have been better to have buried him in the hole he was found in.

I don't agree with the death sentence for anyone. In the old covenant, (the old testament) that was the right thing to do. But Jesus set up a new covenant. God is the only one who can create a life and he is the only one who should take one. That's my opinion.

Death by Hanging is to good for him. He should be tortured to death like he did to the hundreds of thousands of people he tortured. I am not saying that there is not a feeling of a tinge of empathy for him. But that is only cause I am a soft person. But it is really False Empathy on my part as he doesn't deserve any empathy or sympathy.

Personally I am against all forms of death penalty, but given the laws of the country, I think the verdict was handed out fairly.

He did alot of insanely horrible things. So did bush. Lying, torture, killing of thousands albeit indirectly. Knowingly.
I think he got what he deserved but I don't know about the death sentence.

I'm glad that his trial is over. I just wish he wouldn't be getting off so easily.
