So-damn Insane, butcher of the innocents, is going to die. Why don't you all plead for his pardon? Since, clearly, none of you believe in absolute evil.

Oh my.

For those who couldn't get it, 'So-damn Insane' refers to 'Saddam Hussein'. The asker clearly has a sense of wordplay to rival James Joyce's.

In any case, I personally don't believe in the death penalty. Some people would interpret that as my _supporting_ Saddam Hussein, which is incredibly misguided. Saddam Hussein was proven by a court of law to have been a very bad man and he should be kept from society.

However Iraq is not my country, and they have their own justice system (such as it is) and this is what they have determined. Why should I 'seek mercy' for him? What's it to me?

I don't believe Saddam should be hanged.

He should rot in prison for the rest of his life.

Your question doesn't make any sense....

Killing him now would be giving him the easy way out. Why would we want that?
