Time does help a lot but the best thing you can do right now is to let him see this question you have asked and let him in on your thoughts and what we all say. If he loves you as much as he should then he will love to see this. Life is a strange thing and everyone is diffrent just let him be your guide to being happy again and all will be good if its ment to be.
Men are not all the same is what you have to keep telling yourself.

You just worried too much. Is hard to trust anybody, I don't. This way I'm not going to be disappointed. I made a lot of wall to protect myself. I don't want loose what I have, but whatever is to risky to hurt me I stay away. I trust myself only. I don't go back to whatever and by whoever bad happened in my past. Be yourself, enjoy the life , look positively not be afraid to get what you want.

I wish people here would give their ages. If you flinch from him, and say you care for him, I think you have some issues that need to be addressed, if not you may become frigid or go lesbian in time. You need to find out why you react like this before you continue in this relationship, sooner or later you will hurt him.

You have to talk while it happens. Maybe the two of you could get some counseling to help with the communication. I can tell you really want it to work. Good luck!!!
