Treacle toffee -- Mmmmmmmm

No question about it these days.... it has to be treacle toffee, because of the two, this is the one that is still made in the old traditional way and tastes just gorgeous. Toffee apples, when I was a girl, (long, long time ago), were made with proper toffee which was toffee coloured and lovely and chewy. Nowadays, they seem to be made with this horrible red crackly stuff which by no stretch of the imagination could anyone call "toffee".... Of course, younger people who dont remember the old toffee apples, have nothing to compare with. Anyway, enough rambling, think I'll head off and make some treacle toffee!!!
