Ignorance of the Catholic faith.
Maybe they feel betrayed.
I don't understand why, Catholics are Christians.
I converted from Protestant to Catholicism.
I'm not quite sure if my mom accepts it, but really has never discussed it. I'm sure she feels I found the knowledge of what faith I wanted to follow. The faith of my husband and the faith we raised our children.

Maybe because the Protestant friends don't understand the conversion. And most people shun what they don't understand. I suppose that if half of the friends are lost, it opens one up to make new friends in the new faith.
