Well, you CAN take : Shoes. socks, underwear, jewlry, suitcases, watches, rings, pens, pencils, notebook, (both kinds) stamps, snacks, hairbrush, sweater AND a jacket, if you like gloves, Even a mask if you feel the need. Hell. you can gring a firearm if you have it as 'checked" luggage! (It probably would have been easier to as what you CAN'T take on a plane!!)

If you are departing from the US, they have the latest information on www.tsa.gov as far as what you can bring on board. (The government has restrictions on what you can bring on board and it's the same no matter where you're flying to... as long as you're flying into or out of a US airport).
Also check with your airline
