I used to be a Catholic so I think that means I'm allowed to answer.
I would L - O - V - E an atheist to run for office. I'd campaign for them for free.

No I would not because I believe that a Christian presidential candidate would be able to abide by the laws of God and of the Bible. A Christian presidential candidate (if he really is a True believer) would be able to govern the country because of the leading of God. This Christian presidential candidate would then have wisdom and be able to discern right from wrong. and atheist presidential candidate would not most likely be able to make decisions according to God's plan and will which would definitely lead to the downfall of the country. I hope this info. helps! God Bless in choosing the next Presidential candidate!

good argument... :) So, i visit't say that i might want to vote for an atheist presidential candidate although. i imagine that atheists have voted for Christian presidential hopefuls for the political views they have. As a Christian, i do not continually trust those political views so i'd be searching on the guy's personality. i'm not saying atheists are undesirable human beings. My sister, at one aspect in her existence became an atheist. on the instantaneous, she is a baptist, so i'm not particular i believe all atheists are non-believers; possibly they are in basic terms non-conformists. i'd want to believe that a Christian president whose faith in God will deliver him to the right judgements for the rustic. i comprehend there are many contained in the religious sect which have shown that to be incorrect...yet, it really is my idea - having faith in God, not guy.

Definitly. As a Christian I don't see how someone could possibly be a Christian and in good conscience try and run for president. You have to sell out your Bibilical principles in order to run the country.

It all depends on his or her platform. But if the candidate is qualified for the job, why the hell not?? It's only political after all...
Peace be with you!
