I think the answer you're looking for is: because some people simply don't have faith, therefore they lack the ability to believe in God.
My question would be, why aren't people ALLOWED to believe in God? I am a Roman Catholic (and yes, that makes me fundamentally a Christian). I believe in God. I know there are a lot of people who don't believe in God. I know there are a lot of people who practice a different religion than I do. I'm okay with that. They can believe or not believe whatever they want. But why do people get so angry and speak so hatefully about God and anyone and everyone who does believe? They act as if we have some sort of mental deficiency or disease. They speak down to us as if we have something to be ashamed of or as if we are somehow inferior. They put so much energy into bashing us and our beliefs. This I don't understand and this I have no answer for. Why can't they just let us believe what we believe? What are they so angry about??? It truly is sad...

They either never had anyone to teach them the proper way or they simply don't care. It amazes me that alot of non believers will turn their backs on God, but yet whenever there is a carnaval or something that has a fortune teller or palm reader, they will all line up to hear their future. I guess if the rapture comes soon, in our lifetime, the non believers will then get to experience their non belief. It will be the hard way and I pray that they will find God long before this time.

I can't believe in a god because I've thought it through and found the whole concept to be faulty...
An omniscient god would know everything that would result from the people he makes... If this god is also supposed to be "Good," then he can't have knowingly made all the people who become terrorists, murderers, rapists, etc... If that is the case, however, then he can't have been omniscient in the first place...
The very descriptions of the christian god from the bible contradict themselves...
This is just a small example of the inconsistencies to be found in the bible...

because, they can't see God. sometimes people could be very stuborn you know. they wanted to believe that God never did exist because they can't see Him. but that is completely wrong. God is the creator of heaven and earth and everything else. and even science can approve that He really did exist and will forever exist

Because we are a society that wants everything now and in the way that we want it. If someone tells us no we either ignore it ( it doesn't count for me) or we change it....
So everyone thinks that God accepts them 100 percent and what they are doing....whatever they are doing...even against the Bible they claim they are following.
If you say different...they reject God and adopt a cheap immitation of God in his place
2000 years he hasn't changed people....
x amount of thousands of years before that he didn't either...

Because of deception from the devil. But you know that Jesus spoke on this while He was on earth. He told us that the world would hate us because they hated Him while He was on earth. So I count it all joy to be on His side. But there will become a day that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. May God Bless

well, i don't consider myself religious, more spiritual than anything but i think the reason some people don't believe a god is that it requires some moral structure to their lives and they want to be free to do whatever it is they do and not feel any consequences afterwards...my opinion. may be correct, mabey not.
