I have been emotional for the last few weeks, there have been past events that i have been thinkin of such as how supportive my parents have been but I misjudged them at the time.

I have so many times that I wanted to break down and cry, but I can't seem to get any tears out.

What does this mean? I don't understand it, I used to be able to cry whenever I needed to.

Crying is an emotional release for anyone regardless of gender.

Sometimes stress can cause a mental block in our emotions that interferes with our ability to express ourselves.

Perhaps if you went to your folks and poured out your heart it would help. Maybe you won't break down and cry when you are with your parents, maybe you will. maybe you will have a good cry when you get back home, maybe by talking to your parents, the stress will have left you and you won't need to cry.

But you have to try to find out.

If they live far away, call them. If like me both of your parents are now gone, take out a photo and them and talk to it as if they were with you.
That can be therapuetic too.

Good luck............

First of all, Frozen Cloud is just wrong. As for Hermione_Granger, I have to disagree with ?her?(I'm assuming she is a girl from her name). People, both men and women, need to cry. As an emotional release as well as a healing process. My grandmother use to tell me that tears were God's way of washing off the soul. Poetic enough, but true also. If you feel you need to cry but can't, then don't try and force it. When your body is ready to cry, it will cry. When you are hurting and feel like you need to cry, try sharing it with someone else or try relaxing and doing a few deep breaths. Sometimes relaxing is what it takes. We have no idea what it is you are so sad about, but I hope it gets better for you and you are able to put it behind you. Peace and good luck.

That also happens to me sometimes. Well, it seems you've grown into a more mature person and emotionally stronger regarding your problems with your parents. I mean, you're not that easy to cry anymore like you used to; and that's an improvement; and maybe deep in your heart you know that you can do something about your problems more than just to cry. It''s ok if tears won't come out. Just don't push it too hard for tears will naturally come down if they really need to. :)

I have felt that way sometimes. I tried to google search it but I can't seem to find the right wording to look up your problem. My only guess would be that you are dehydrated and need to start drinking more water. Your hormones are probley really off balance right now as well. I am going to take it that you are a female, and in your case you can try taking birth control and it will help stablize your hormones. Good luck and keep you chin up everything will work out for the best!

I know what you mean. It sucks when you feel that eye-burning need to cry and can't get a single tear out.
I think it's because you're so focused on wanting to cry, that's usually what happens to me.
