I always hate to pick up a pharmaceutical pill to solve a problem...don't want to get stuck taking pills my whole life.
If she gets gas all the time, it could mean she eats too fast and swallows too much air. Is she able to burp or the gas is trapped lower? If lower, it could mean she is eating foods that are hard to digest and are sitting in the stomach too long and begin to ferment and create gas. Gas-X is good at breaking down gas probs like heartburn.
A long term solution would be something like Beano which helps digest some foods. Theory is that modern people don't have a diet that helps them make the right enzymes to effectively digest food, especially as they get in their 30's. There is more digestive supplements out there like Omegazyme that helps digest a wider variety of foods. It is safe to take with every meal unlike Gas-X or any prescribed medicine. She needs to monitor foods that cause the most problems.... milk?(lactose intolerant) fruit/softdrink(fructose-intolerant). fatty foods?

Most of the foods recommended to you cause gas. I think your sister has enough of that without adding more. Instead of looking for foods that expel existing gas (because as a rule, they don't), look for foods she should avoid: Onions, beans, cabbage and all foods in the cabbage family, fibrous foods (includes broccoli). She should try to avoid swallowing air, no gum chewing and try omitting dairy products to see if she's lactose intolerant.
The Pankreoflat contains pancreatic enzymes along with the dimethicone. I hope this, along with a careful diet, helps her. One other thing she might try is standing on her head. This is based on the principle that gas rises and once it's in the intestinal tract there's only one way for it to go.

Could very well be. Acidophilus is supposed to increase your digestion by increasing your production of friendly flora in your gut. Try drinking it earlier in the day or take some Gas-X type of product when you do take it. Anything with simethecone will help reduce gas.

I find personally, cucumbers are excellent at that capacity...however, beans are also good for that as well. In addition to that, might I suggest leafy green veggies, including brocolli?
In cases of extreme need....soda pop.
