I keep getting numb in my legs and feeling sick. I also keep dwelling on past events for no reason, been happening every day now. Also I can only sleep for about 7 hours and no more. I never used to be like that, i could sleep in afternoons too.

Does that mean I have anxiety. I don't really want to take pills though.

I personally think what your doing is worrying to much.....But what
does worrying ever do for you ? Don't worry so much. That isn't
really anxiety. Forget about your past....it's gone. All you can do is focus on the present. Learn ways to make yourself relax. There are really good ways to do that. Like listening to nature CD
or some calming music....the kind to meditate to. All local stores
have them. It helps to put your mind in another place....to think of
nothing...only...relaxing and being relaxed. Try it, see how it goes
But do give it some time, for your body and your mind to become
accustomed to this change. Wear head phones on at night in bed
with the music low and soothing. Light insense , it helps. I hope
this will help. Good Luck.

It might. I have anxiety but at a more extreme level. My anxiety has mostly to do with panic attacks. If your dwelling on past events you might have anxiety mixed with depression. Often anxiety and depression go hand in hand. A lot of the time an antidepressant can help with anxiety. I know it does with me. I can definitely worry myself sick. Antidepressants can numb anxious depressed feelings. When I'm really anxious, I definitely sleep less. The antidepressants Zoloft and Prozac are quite mild. So they really aren't that big of a deal and you would be surprised how many people in America take medications for stress and psychological issues. It may just be a sign of hectic American life is.

I don't think that your symptoms sound like anxiety. When I've had anxiety attacks, I get really sick to my stomach and feel like I'm going to throw-up. I also have a really fast heart beat and I'm hot but my skin is cool. But double check with your doctor, and if you do have to take pills, you might not have to take them for very long.

generaly anxiety is a feeling of flight or die brought on by no apparent reason. lack of sleep may be caused by a feeling of dread of what the future may bring. you may be goin through a transitional stage in life that might make you dwell on the past because of fear of change. this fear can make u feel lost and depressed because maybe you unconsciously wonder what the point of life is. you dont have to take pills just remember that watever event or situation that makes u feel this way will pass. try to think of all the good times you have had and all the ones that await u in the future. I suffered from anxiety and attacks but i got over them by breathing deeply through my stomach and thinking calming thoughts.

Numbness, sickness to your stomach, hesitant to do stuff, you can feel your heart beating out of chest, and nervousness.Yes more likely you have it. You really don't have to take pills just try to calm yourself down and see what is bringing the anxiety on.
