It is hard as hell to get off pain pills.I know, i took them two years straight. It got up to be , that i needed 15 pills a day and they were not free. I would prostitute my body or steal pills or whatever it took. It got down to me thinking suicide. I would hurt so bad without them. I am on methadone now. I have been on 115 mgs now for 5 years.I want off of this now but i am not ready to go thru the detox.I watched a show the other morning. it was called methadonia. the people in that film called methadone "liquid handcuffs". i so much agree. i feel for any body strung out on pain pills.good luck coming off. if you want to e=mail me just to talk im here to listen. klinedarlene@yahoo.com

I was addicted to Oxycontin for 5 years, this might not be the answer for everyone but, I got into the Methadone Clinic. I've been in for 3 years and my life has never been better. I myself tried rehab 3 times and tried to quit cold turkey about 10. Nothing worked for me longer than 2 weeks. I've been off all drugs(besides the methadone) for a little over 3 years now. You should try to find out about the Methadone Program from the Methadone Clinic closest to you. Like I said it's not for everyone, but it saved my life!!

I have not had that problem as of yet, but I would say the best thing to do is look at yourself and be honest about what is and has been going on in your life. Then be honest with someone and really try to make a difference for yourself. You can do it. Do it for yourself
