All organisms have to die some day. It's a good question to ask why, but sometimes our body systems can no longer function as well as they should. We only have one body, and if something goes wrong with it then its inevitable we will die. That's what happens when people get old, or get in accidents.
I think it's better to have lived in the first place than not at all. Otherwise, those you loved would have never got the chance to love you back, and you'd be much sadder without those memories.

Grief hurts ......that we agree on.
People live their life as best they can and life sometimes cuts it short.
My concern is you. Now you go forward and live you life the best way you can. Go places where you feel at peace like for a walk on a beach or out with a friend. Your friends and family do not want you to grieve for them . They want you to live, love, laugh and be happy. Try it is works even if it is small steps at a time.
After the grief there is more life for you to enjoy just believe in yourself. Inside you is a strong person capable of getting over this hurtle.

It's life. WE are born, we live our lives and then we die... Some of us believe in an afterlife and believe we will be reunited with our loved ones someday. I find peace in this and have faith that the person who died is not sad, only the people left behind who miss them.
peace

The balance of life life death good evil it is all equal and one can not exist with out the other. I have never met any one that like the idea of death but it is just another stage of life. You can't have one with out the other to complete the balance of things. Death bring saddness and pain but life brings happiness and joy.
