How many dogs were u looking to buy and for what purpose ? If u just want a pet, have u thought about obtaining one from a shelter, that would otherwise be put down if no home can be found for it.This way, u get to see what ur getting and be able to interact with it to see if its what u want. There r so many dogs needing homes, that I find it strange as to why u want to buy "dogs" online. Are u talking of buying from a breeder or a rescue organization. U give no info in that regard.

Instead of doing that consider getting a dog from a shelter or humane society. There are so many dogs, cats and other animals that didn't ask to be in this world but are. Those animals need a good home and family otherwise they will be euthanized. You will find an appropriate pet for you and your household that will love you and you will love them. Good Luck with your choice.

DO NOT BUY A DOG OVER THE INTERNET!!!
Either get from a rescue or a REPUTABLE breeder.
For a list of rescues look on the following link:
http://www.dogpages.org.uk
If you must get a puppy, take advice from the kennel club as to how to select your breeder (and of course, what breed would suit you best):
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/about/contact_us.html
In either case you will have to meet the dog, and the rescue/breeder first. Expect to be asked A LOT of questions. Any breeder who does not care enough about the dog to ask questions to make sure it gets a good home, is unlikely to take much care to breed responsibly, to produce dogs with good health and temperament.
They are unlikely to care for the puppies well, and you'd be encouraging them to continue poor standards if you bought a dog from one of these breeders.

We've just bought a Shar Pei on "E-PUPZ" website. You can see photos, read all the info on them and arrange to go have a look. You don't have to buy but you can still see what they're really like. This is also a good site cos you can type in which area you want to search for the dog in.
We just stayed local..........had a great result with this dog too !
Give it a go..........won't hurt.

I presume that you want a list of breeders that you can check out online before contacting them in person & visiting them. Good breeders will want to check out you & your situation as well - so it makes sense to me, to do your research online first.
If you know what particular breed you are looking for, then try the Champdogs site.
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all.html
It has lists of breeders, owners, available puppies, stud dogs & dog breed clubs ... it may also have information about the various Rescue Organisations - but if not, contacting one of the breed clubs should provide you with that information.
If you're looking to rescue a dog - then try some of the major organisations like RSPCA or Dog Protection. Or try Yellow Pages in your phone book (yell.com online) for local organisations. You could also try searching online, adding in the name of your local area - hopefully this will find a web page of the classified ads contained in your local newspaper - another good starting point.
Sometimes I think it is a good idea to check out a breeder online before actually visiting them - just to get an idea of what they might be like - because, if you visited a bad establishment, who had malnourished, potbellied puppies for sale ... how on earth could you resist buying one? I'd have real problems, I'd find it awful to have to walk away from the puppies ... I'd want to take them all, whisk them off to a vets & make them better.

You really don't want to buy a dog on-line, it's OK to find a breeder of a particular breed on-line ie at, http://www.breedadog.com
you can find breeders all over the country with available puppies or due to be born pups, but then you will have to contact the breeder, arrange to go and see the puppies the breeder will want to ask you questions to see if you are a suitable person to own one of their dogs etc. If you are looking to adopt a rescue dog and you are in the UK, a good site to visit is http://shelterhelper.co.uk which lists lots of dogs up for re-homing inc pics of the dogs, this is where I found my lovely little Border Collie/something cross about a year ago, again we had to go and visit the person who was fostering him answer a lot of questions about our home life, finances etc, but all well worth it.
Good Luck

I presume that this another time-wasting wide up!
No-one in their right mind would buy a dog or, in your case, dogs on-line.
Go and ask your silly questions on another category and leave people who have genuine questions to ask about dogs to get on with it.

If you are looking for a pedigree dog and you live in the uk you can go on to the kennel club website and they have a list of breeders.
Hope that helps.
