I know a couple who wanted 6 children, preferably all boys to help with the farm.
Do you have a specific purpose for parenthood?

I never really thought about why until I read your ?. When I was a teen I always sswore I would never have kids, I liked them but that wasn't what I wanted in life. My first child was a surprise, my husband and I were using bc and were floored when the doctor said I was pregnant however from the moment found out it was different and like that was what was meant to be, now I look and see it was my way of always having a part of the love that we shared and of each other. With my others I had found out how much joy having a child can be and although tiring and expensive it was well worth it. I had four bright beautiful kids for the joy of it not to be a servant or to take care of me when I get older but to enjoy and teach.

I've always had the desire to be a mother. Even as a child I was nurturing. Its a powerful feeling that I have always wanted. I thrive off of helping others and seeing them happy. A child is the ultimate outlet for that, and very rewarding to a person like me. It gives me a purpose, a direction, a reason to be the very best me that I am capable of. Plus, it creates such a special bond between my husband and I, a special feeling that can only be experienced by two people in love, watching a beautiful little human being that is part of both of them grow up.

I enjoy being a mother and absolutely love my son. However. I had him so one day I can be a grandma. I'm serious. So, maybe not the best reason. But its mine. I do want to have a little girl someday. So I can teach her all the girlie things I know. I just love children. My son brightens my life everyday. He brings purpose to my life. Plus I want to help build a better a tomorrow through my teachings to him.

Huck Finn is between the main suitable books American writers have ever positioned out and to censor that's incorrect. that's like changing history in basic terms with the aid of fact you do unlike the way it got here approximately. regrettably, slavery and racism existed(s), and that i for my area think of sweeping it below the rug via censoring that's a poor injustice to the time, to the author and to each and all the folk who have been subjected to it. Huck Finn has great subject concerns and undercurrents that are meant for older readers who understand the words, that they are derogatory and should no longer be used. as much as Huck Finn appears like a e book for little infants -- that's no longer -- the readers could be sufficiently previous to be waiting to have mature discussions approximately those subject concerns with the aid of fact in case you do no longer, a great deal of the e book is lost. 5th graders? No. intense schoolers? sure. And, rather the unique version. BTW - i'm 34 and have all of Twain's works sitting on my bookshelf. On yet another notice, i do no longer think Injun became in basic terms the community accessory mispronouncing the be conscious Indian, i've got self belief it became used in a derogatory way and that i've got continually understood it to be offensive in nature.

I have wanted to be a mum all of my life. Thats all i ever dreamt about. I am a very nurturing person and love to make people happy, and care for people.. I would have 10 kids if my body could handle it. I have a one year old boy, and i love everyday with him. It could be just him and me in my world and i wouldnt complain and would love every moment. Theres just something about watching a life grow that you have made and giving them all of yourself and teaching them things. Its amazing, nothing can describe it.
I know some people are career people etc etc. But what some people dont realise is that there are also Motherly people. People that want to be mums just as much as someone else wants to study to make a difference in the world. They are both just as rewarding as eachother. It all depends on the nature of a person. And i am glad to put myself in the category of a Nurturing Mum. I would do this forever if i could!

If no one had children human existance would end in a generation. People have children so that our existance is sustained.
Hopefully people have them to enjoy them. A child brings so much into your life. Watching them grow and learn, form personalities, make friends, is very enjoyable. Life would seem empty without it. It makes my life have a purpose.

Well, as a kid I always knew I would probably have around 3 children (I have 2 so far). It just felt "right" I suppose.

A few reasons why I or someone else may choose to:
1. Religion (religious reasons). When I was younger, we were taught (via the Bible) something about being fruitful and multiplying. So if people want to obey their God (or religion) that may be a reason for them.
2. Sometimes it's just that "biological clock" ticking. This crazy urge that takes over one's body/mind and all they can think about is having kids.
3. In men, it is a BIOLOGICAL URGE, from the beginning of time (thanks to Discovery channel) to want to find a mate, to procreate (or spread their seed).
4. Some people are just plain, dang lonely. They want someone to play with. Someone to "dress up". Someone to "hang out with". Someone to show off.
5. Curosity. Some people want to know what something would look like if they created it. Would it look like me or the dad/mom? Would he/she get my mom's/dad's nose..etc. Or could be curiosity of what being pregnant and labor feels like too.
6. Tired of being single, and alone. Wanting a change of life. Wanting to feel more "love".
7. From the early days, Kings/queens had to procreate to "carry on their lineage" and have an heir. That may be the only reason they had kids. Sometimes that goes for today, too. I swear my dad is one of them! He just wanted 4 kids to pass on his last name or something! How sad he must've been when he kept having girls!
8. People who grow up in big families, and know what that "closeness" and "love" feel like, sometimes long for that themselves. I grew up in a huge family, so I knew life was better with kids (for me, anyway).
9. People have an urge to "create" something great. To guide/teach/control someone. It is a mighty powerful thing to be able to create a human life. A lot of people hope for a "president' someday, too.
10. Sometimes, it's just a plain accident. (Like my daughter was) LOL or just unplanned.

WHY DID I GET TWO THUMBS DOWN? DID SOMEONE NOT AGREE? Get real people if you don't think that those are some reasons why people have kids.

No. But that doesn't mean I don't take it seriously! My pregnancy was a surprise, and we dealt with the change accordingly. I love being a parent, and would love to have another child someday, but I'm not going to plan it. I think it's nicer if it happens on it's own...:-)

My mama and papa had 21 kids together.....My mom and dad had 7 kids but they didn't try to work us. They had us cause they wanted a bunch of kids to love.

My purpose in having my son is because i wanted (we-me & my husband) to have him....We created a whole new little person out of our love for each other and atleast there will be something left of us when we leave this world. (Our son)

I am not planning on working my own kid like you said about that one couple
