Find out why, they may have a valid point, so listen to them if they do. If they don't have a valid reason, then you must ask them to show you respect by respecting your fiance.

First of all why don't they like him? if it isn't a true legitimate reason? unless they know for sure he is a serial killer or something follow your own heart. You are the ones who have to be happy, you are an adult and have to live your own life. I have had a similar experience and my fiance and I are getting married next week. Unfortunately my family is being narrow minded but his family will be there for our small civil ceremony. We are very happy and very much in love. If you feel the same way I say go for it ! life is too short to let others stand in your way of happiness.

I think you need to seriously look at WHY they don't like him. Sit down with them and pretend that the person they're talking about ISN'T your fiance. If the person they describe to you is someone that you don't think you'd like if it was anyone OTHER than your fiance, then you need to really consider whether or not you want to be married to him.
Because from experience, if your family doesn't like him, there's probably something REALLY BAD AND WRONG about him!!!

You are the one who is going to marry him and live with him not your family so don't worry about your family , if you like your fiancee and you love him then go on .............Best of luck

You knew your parent feelings before you committed yourself to your love. I am sure there were many discussions about your relationship with this fellow.
He will need to win their trust and acceptance. How? Openly loving you, financial security, an education and you make sure he has plenty of God's creatures to trade! (-:

Ask why they don't like her. They might be able to see something you can't.
