I would say that your body clock is set to these times of sleeping. If I was you I would really try to stay awake after 3 when you get home and go to bed early about 9 or 10pm as this is the only way that you are going to reset your body clock to get reasonable hours of sleep. I don't think that you have a sleeping disorder as such I just think that your body is in the habit of sleeping these hours. The ideal amount of sleep a body can get per night is 8 to 10 hours I'm not going to tell you that your body clock will reset itself overnight it will probably take a few days to a week but when it happens you will feel better.

You don't necessarily have a sleep disorder nor do you automatically need a sleep study even with a disorder. Tell your parents about this if you haven't already done so and ask to see your doctor about it. In the meantime, try to stay awake longer after school and go to sleep later each afternoon and then evening. And you've been getting more than 2 hours of sleep...more like 10. But you're sleeping at the wrong time and your Circadian rhythm is off.

If you're taking in any caffiene, sugar, chocolate, or especially any of those gums/pills that wake you up.. that might be part of the problem :)

Change your habits as best you can. Whatever you're doing from 10 to 4am, try doing that stuff from 3 to 10. Fight the urge to sleep in the afternoon, find something to do. Clean the toilet if you have to to keep active :)

Excercise early in the afternoon may help to wake you up but at the same time get you worn out a bit too for nighttime sleeping.

I'd talk to your parents or another adult you feel comfortable chatting with about this, just in case you do need to see a doctor for a checkup :) If something is troubling you, definetly find someone you can safely chat with and try to find resolution.

Getting advice here isn't quite the same as having a trusting adult there to give you advice in person!

You feel sleepy because after you nap it's hard to go back to sleep.Your body clock is just messed up, mine is like that too. All you have you to do to get it right is when you come home after school keep yourself very busy don't sit down for longer than ten minutes. Stay after school, or go to a friends house, then when you get home go to bed around 10:30. I swear this rutine works every time, as a matter of fact I need to do that too.
It's not a sleeping disorder it's just bad sleeping habits. I gott'em too.
just to let you know we're the same age, so I'm sure some of your friends do the same thing too.

You do have some sort of sleep disorder. I would strongly suggest you have a sleep study done. It just takes one night and can be done at your local clinic.
