I finished starching my parakeets wings about an hour ago and ever sinse she has been acting kind of wierd. She is making sneezing type sounds and is flying all over her cage. She is not acting like she usually does. What should I do now?

The bird is embarrassed because after starching you failed to iron the wrinkles out. The next step is obvious.

This is after clipping its wings, right? The bird would be a bit shocked when it finds it cant fly as well as it use to. If this is unusual and keeps going, trying going to the vet.

You cut her wings, right? Make sure she isn't bleeding and I would cover her cage, the darkness usually settles them down for the night and if that doesnt work, call your vet.

Why would you do that? Give her a bath and keep her out of the draft. In other words keep her warm till she dries.

I can't help but wonder I have never done that to my bird I just let her bathe herself and that's it.
