i speak as a former muslim,
when muhommed visited his adopted son's home he was out and his wife zinab met him and muhommed fell in love with her. down came a revelation from Allah telling muhommed marry her. so his adopted son divorced her and mo married her.
what this cunning old sod mo wanted was to have sex with zinab and so he used Allah's name.
to you thinking people i ask, do you believe in such crappy lies that muhommed made up just because he wanted to sleep with women?

Aside from the hateful language in the question, which I find unhelpful, you can read about this chapter of Muhammad's life in Martin Lings' book "Muhammad, his life based on the earliest sources." This book was acclaimed by many Muslims and received awards in Pakistan and Egypt.

There is one thing that the questioner failed to mention: when Muhammad married his former daughter-in-law, this was the end of adoption in Islam.

Much earlier, Muhammad had borrowed his friend's slave, and when it was time to return the slave to his master, Muhammad had said no, he had adopted him as a son. This was how Muhammad got the adopted son in the first place.

Later, after his adopted son's marriage to Zainab, even the divorce would not be quite enough to allow Muhammad to marry his former daughter-in-law, so he declared that adoptions were not valid -- no adoptions, under any circumstances. I do not recall if his declaration was by "revelation" or not.

Now, most Muslim countries do not recognize adoption, and this is why.

You can read about it in Martin Lings' book. I read it a few years ago, so please do let me know if I've strayed from the book.

There is no way you are a "former Muslim" who are you trying to kid!!! You would be able to at least spell Muhammad correctly for a start. And you would know the true reason he had so many wives. If you want to pose such a stupid question at least do it as yourself. Every Muslim reading your question knows you never where one, so who you trying to fool. My guess is people who don't like Muslims to begin with, you know people like yourself. Gutless wonder! And as for Brinstor.... he did not sleep with a 9 year old(married her yes, but didnt sleep with her), they say ignorance is bliss you must be in Nirvana

Yes , he used the same tactic when people criticised him for sleeping with a nine year old girl. That night he had a revelation from an angel who told him it was OK. I don't think that would get past a jury these days.
