u will be happy with the 3.0 dohc it has a good amout of power and the 4wd system work good it has a pto drive system it will do over 95mph thats all i ever had it to its peppy and i think u will like it trans is good if u keep up on the maintenance (trans flush) i useed to workm for ford keep up on the maintenance

Good news and bad news.. Ford 3.0 V6 Escapes (Twin to the Mazda Tribute) Scoot pretty well for a small SUV.. Bad news .. Ford and Mazda use an antiquated CD4E-4 speed automatic transmission from the old Ford Probe days and it will self destruct rapidly if abused... go to the Escape forums and read about the trannie complaints...

Depends where you drive. Are you driving in rush hour? ARe you driving on a racing track?? An escape has more than one engine option. If you drive a 4 cylinder, then you will have decent acceleration. If you a a 6 cylinder, your car will spend about 6 bucks more a month , but you'lle be a happy man, with abilities to easily pass, and when you are pissed, you can haul ***.

Are you comparing it to the cars of the eighties? then yea its quick but comparing it to anything new now days it ain't beans. Cars today are just ridiculous. I mean I raised my HP to 260 in my capri and Im getting whooped its ******* stupid because its not like its slow.
