Was used for scars and burns in the 50's and 60's. Disappeared from drug store shelves and can no longer find anywhere. Who makes it now and where can it be purchased?

You're not looking hard enough, they have it at large drug stores, supermarkets and Wal-Mart.

It's still there (actually, it's everywhere) in almost all drug stores and places that sell that kind of thing.
Check in the baby aisle, as that's where I usually see it for some reason. Perhaps they use it for diaper rash or something.
It's just called Vaseline now. Vaseline is the brand name, and I think you have to look at the fine print to see that it's petroleum jelly. It's in a clear squarish jar, but it looks kind of yellowy because of the product, and it has a blue label.

huh?!? any drug store, most grocery stores, some convenience stores but are you sure you don't mean medi-cream? don't know if that's still made but try silvadene or the sap of an aloe vera plant also good for burns and scars --pop open a vitamin E capsule and put the liquid on the burn or scar

It is available at all drug stores. It can be purchased in the baby department at lets say Zellers or Wallmart. Yes it is still used in many homes today.

Check the drug stores again, or the grocery store. I see it usually near the baby stuff, next to the baby oil and powder. I don't know what the companies are; my grocery store carries its own brand. I love it for dry skin and lips.

Any store should have it- even Wal=mart- I see it in our stores and even have some- there is the Vaseline brand and the store brands- it is even in the grocery stores- easy to find- D
