Yeah, like that is gonna work!!!

I have noticed that there is an increasing amount of harrassment from the antihunters that cruise the site looking to cause trouble and harrass the hunters. This is unacceptable. I posted a question previously, concerning this topic, but I believe it is time to level the playing field.
Every time someone has a complaint filed against them and the complaint is found valid, it knocks points off that user's score...I have reported every insulting or threatening reply as harrassment. That is exactly what we are dealing with here....they have nothing positive to say, nor can they speak in a polite or even an intelligent manner, instead using insults and threatening remarks. Therefore, the antihunters are violating community guidelines. Join me in my attempt to stop such harrassing communications! Report them!

So, to make this a valid question, (see "got my first deer") here's the question: WILL YOU STAND UP AND JOIN ME???

Oh, yeah, and all you antihunters:
Unless you have something intelligent to say, supported by something that resembles facts, shut up. You only validate my statement that you are incapable of any intelligent or polite conversation, which, in turn, further validates my prievous statements. Thanks.

To my Canadian friend below me...
Outstanding!!! You get it!
The only hunting I am talking about is hunting during season...otherwise, it is poaching, and no true hunter has any love for poachers!
Your mention of the wolf/deer balance is very correct...except one thing. In most places in the US there are no sizable populations of wolves...or any other predator of large animals, for that matter...so the only thing to keep the population in balance IS the hunters!
You've researched well, yet either not completely, or you are having a difficult time weeding through the fact and the fiction....either way, I'm proud of you...you have a brain, and you know how to use it!

I join & applaud you, I have been a hunter for many years & will continue to do so. I would never torture & maim an animal just for cruel sport & shoot to kill..and to put in my freezer..As I said in another post, if anyone of these people went to a slaughter house, where their bacon, sausage, hamburger & steaks came from & saw what really happens as these animals are slaughtered, they would think twice about what they say & think about hunters, and as for the folks that dont eat meat, that is a choice of yours & not ours..

I've been a hunter since I was 12 and took the safe hunter course here in ohio. I just started checking out yahoo answers about 3 months ago. I too am amazed at the number of anti hunting people that come here to harass the majority of questions asked about hunting.
It seems lately that I spend more time reporting abuse than answering questions.
There are a lot of things I don't agree with, but I don't spend my time looking for questions regarding those topics just to slam the person that asked the question or people that have answered it.

I've read your question and the additional remarks to it and I have to agree with you, especially the remark about lack of predators for larger animals in certain areas--the situation at times in the city of Solon Ohio, which isn't far from where I live in Northeast Ohio, being a perfect example of an over population of deer and not enough 'natural predators' to keep them in check.
I personally don't hunt, but I have no problems with responsible hunters, just the, pardon the term, "Yahoos" who take potshots at anything that moves while they're out in the woods, or even their back yards.
Anyone who follows the laws and regulations for hunting has my full support, especially those who participate in programs I've heard of where the hunters keep the antlers and hides of the deer they shoot as their trophies then donate the meat to feed the homeless and underpriviledged in shelters.
I'd also like to remind the non-hunters that without the support of some more well known historical hunters, such as former President Teddy Roosevelt, our National Parks System would be a great deal smaller.
Responsible hunters are traditionally among the biggest supporters of conservation for wetlands, woodlands, and grasslands here in the US and abroad, such as member of SCI, that happens to stand for Safari Club International for those who've never heard of it before, Ducks Unlimited, and TRP, the group named after Teddy Roosevelt and devoted to preserving both the right to hunt and places to do it, even if you only 'hunt' with a camera to get a picture of an animal, whether you acknowledge it or not you're still hunting, just using a camera and film, or even a digital camera, instead of ammunition.
I suggest anyone who is against hunting take it up with Gerald McRaney (sorry if I may have misspelled his last name), star of 'Simon&Simon' and "Major Dad', Irlene Mandrell, sister of Barbara Mandrell, and Vice President Dick Chaney, though for the latter you might want to do it in writting and not in person.

Although I am not a fan of hunting and something of an animal rights activist. I believe that IN SEASON hunting is very important for an ecosystem's equilibruim.

For example, if human did not hunt deer during deer season, the wolf population would sky rocket and the deer population would plummet. Therefore, the next year the deer population will be too low to sustain the wolf population and the poor wolves would die of starvation =(

First off I do not hunt per say, I am not saying that I do not go hunting it is just that I do not hunt when I do. Just being outdoors is enough for me. It is not that I will not kill an animal in the part of town that I live in we were over ran with groundhogs it took me two days to take care of that and I did not use a firearm I used my HDV. I do enjoy shooting and have many firearm of all kinds and I have little use for anyone that can not or will not own a good rifle. That is one of my web sites under source and my handle on the web is IDOTUSA search for it.

I am personally not a hunter, but, my husband is, and I fully support him. I have no problem whatsoever eating the meat he brings home.

In my experience, hunters are the biggest conservantionists out there. They hold nature and the environment in the highest regard. In my opinion "antis" would be much more effective in protesting urban sprawl, and the bulldozing of our wetlands than opposing responsible hunters.

will do. If you are going to give an answer that does not answer the question at all at least make if funny.
For instance: How do I get a moose call?
good dumb answer:
buy them a drink
bad dumb answer:
I think hunting is wrong
