Johnny Vegas is right.
It could also be an inflammed pulp. If the filling was DEEP (close to the nerve--pulp) the pulp will be irritated and it will take time for the tooth to heal. Go back to the dentist in 2 weeks (could take longer-I am not a dentist) if it's still sore. It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion if you are still in pain.

You probably don't need another dentist. I'm a dentist and it sounds like. (obviously I don't know, cause I haven't seen it) But it sounds like the filling that was put it is not in correct occlusion. It may be that the filling is too high, and that when you bite down you put more pressure on the tooth than you used to. Or, maybe the filling may be too low, and now you are biting too hard on a different neighboring tooth. Often times it's hard to tell exactly where the pain is coming from. Furthermore, it may just still be sensitive from the trauma on the tooth of having a drill on it.

If I had to bet, i'd say too high/too low causing a misocclusion

Maybe the tooth was jarred in its socket and will heal over the next couple of days.

If it still hurts another week from now, either go back to the dentist or see one that a friend raves about because of competence, especially competence at the root canal procedure.

I think you need to see another dentist. It sounds like you still have a nerve exposed. It shouldn't be hurting.
