Depending on your current activity level, you could probably lose weight this way. There is no way to figure how many pounds you will lose, but you should eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, measure your portions according to national standards, and also throw in a few snacks such as celery or carrots....a dietary supplement may be useful as well, depending on your age and medical history. As always, you should talk your plan over with your physician. Also, as suggested in other comments, drink plenty of water, no soda, juice, or creamed coffee or sugar drinks. Milk will also cause weight gain.

Look at it this way: 1 pound of fat is equal to 3,500 calories. If you eat 3,500 more calories than you burn, you will gain a pound, if you eat 3,500 less than you burn, you will lose a pound.

So, the first thing you should do is determine approximately how many calories you are taking in and how many you are burning every day. You can find websites to help you calculate how much you are burning on an average day through all your daily activities (even sleep counts!) but they won't be exact. Keep track of everything you eat for a week and then figure out how many calories you've been eating. Once you know all that, you can decide what action to take.

If you try to lose between 1 and 2 pounds per week, that is sensible and the positive changes you make to your lifestyle might stick, allowing you to keep it off.

Remember that losing weight should be considered a side-effect of becoming strong and healthy!

Losing ten pounds in a safe, healthy way in two weeks is just not possible, so don't disillusion yourself. If you're concerned about losing weight, walking half an hour a day, EVERY day is a good start, but it's something that you should be doing anyways as a minimum to maintain good health, regardless of your desire to lose weight. Don't forget that resistance (weight) training is also very important.

As for what to eat, there are many different diets out there. In general, a woman with a sedentary lifestyle should not be consuming more than 2000 calories in a day if she wants to maintain a healthy weight. Focus on lots of vegetables, fruits, whole grains with a high fiber content, and low-fat dairy. Avoid empty carbohydrates (like white bread, white rice, etc.), high sugar foods, red meat, deep-fried foods, and heavily-processed foods. Speak to a registered dietician to develop a diet that meets your needs.

Experts advise 15-30 minutes of exercise about 3 times a week. So your on a healty track if you walk 30-45 minutes 4-5 times a week. But go on a morning walk, i would say 30 minutes every morning, for every day of the week. Try and avoid fatty and hi-carb foods.

How much weight you'll lose depends on your body. 10 pounds is a little extreme for a short term loss, but doing the above steps listed should give u at least a 5 pound loss.

If you do intense exercise like running, or lifting, then you might actually gain weight, since increased muscle mass will definately add to that number.

Yes you will lose weight if you exercise, eat healthy and eat out once a week. Eat breakfast because you will be active the rest of the day burining those calories and dont eat after 8-9 pm. Drink water.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories
in the food you eat should be less than the
energy you use. You will have to increase your
metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will
lose weight faster. More details available at

The key to burning those calories is in keeping your metabolic rate up. How you can do this is by getting your heart rate up, by exercise or some form of stamina building activity. If I may suggest to you. Find some form of exercise or activity like. Maybe roller blading, or bicycling, running, working out. Something you enjoy doing. Do this activity for 20 minutes when you wake up. And keep yourself busy physically in 3 hour intervals. Why? Because your body continues to burn the calories for up to three hours after you have finished your workout. It's good for you spiritually as well, try to choose an outdoors activity that you like, that way you will not dread "having" to go run, if your not into it. Good Luck May d 4's B w/ U!

I would eat breakfast, excersize about 2 times a day. But you will need to work up to it. I would eat something really light for breakfast, a healthy medium for lunce, and a sufficiant dinner. Also never eat after 7pm, your body stores more fat in your sleep.
But yeah it should work. good luck :)
