the prophecy of the last days, many will rise up and proclaim themselves prophets. We have had ample warning of these things in the bible, that is why god allows these things to happen, those who endure to the end will be saved, he is looking for those who are devoted to him through all adversity.

just the other day i gave a speach at a pagan get together and here are a few bits of what I had to say about choosing a path or religious path:

Every set of beliefs or religion has it's basic concepts and it's misconceptions. Your spiritual connection with the Divine is the most intimate personal relationship you will ever have. No one knows what path best expresses your own unique connection with a Higher Power, not ministers, not priests, not psychics, not your family, not your soul-mate, and not me.

It's often been said that if people would look beyond their differences, they'd find they have much more in common than they think. Learning about other belief systems doesn't mean you have to take on any part of those beliefs or practices. But understanding why others feel they way they do about certain issues and topics can go a long way to understanding each other. In other words, if you can learn about your neighbor and what they belief, then you can find a common ground for communication and understanding.
We all practice the same things; we use different names to label our rituals and ceremonies

All religions contain grains of truth, all contain flaws. The Path you choose must be one which allows you to fully express your spiritual essence. One, which honors and celebrates your values, ethics, beliefs and inner knowings. Whether you choose the Goddess Path, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Atheism, Paganism, Hinduism, Shinto, Taoism, Native American beliefs, or another spiritual path is not nearly as important as the act of freely choosing. All faiths work for some people. The trick is to find the Path that is right for you. Do not be discouraged or coerced into following anyone else's belief system. You have the right to choose your own way of spiritually expressing your connection with the Divine

The same reason their have been hundreds of old religions in the past. None of them answered ALL of the questions of ALL of the people ALL of the time.
I personally believe if there is a God, he is the same one we all look to in times of need and support. Whether he is Allah, God, The Great Spirit or any other name, he is the same God but worshipped or reveared in a different way because of cultural barriers and ethnicity.
I believe as long as you go by the basic principals of knowing what is right and wrong and treating people as you would be treated then you and I will be fine.
We were given brains to think with and make decisions. I cant see how a God that supposedly designed and build you, removed your sins and put you here with a purpose can hold you liable for the decisions you make with the brain you are given.
Look at it this way. If someone is handicapped and knows not of God or religion, will he/she go to a bad place when they die? I dont think so.

It is very difficult to tell and if not hundreds of new religions at least variations of the same sect of religion. I am a Christian but only for the last 10 years I did not grow up that way. I am not big into religion but I do go to church. I read the Bible and I read it often and the more I read it the more I believe it - but the more I realize how often it is misquoted or pulled out of context.

Any religion be it Christianity or Jewish or Hinduism you must have faith in what you believe. You can pull all the logic that you want but in any religion there is just a point that you have to take a leap of faith. That is what makes religion truly scary for most people. For the rest of us it is scary if we do not.

Take some time to pray and listen, read, study and prayer - I pray for you that the right answer will come for you

Bless you

I believe that there are many new religions because people are looking for different ways to answer the questions of life. People are pushed away from the religions of old by the other people that practice them, or their customs, and make their own religions that are more "up with the times." The old religions weren't designed for life in the twenty first century, so people are finding ones that are.

I'm sorry but some people just way over do the scripture quoting thing (A2Z), In simple terms there are more people on earth everyday and each shall choose his path. I'll not hurl a bunch of ridiculous quotes at you that you probably would never read anyway.

The true church will keep the commandments of God and have the Spirit of prophecy:
2 Chronicles 34:31 And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
Rev. 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Because people are starting to realize that Christianity is all about fear and starting to understand that Christianity doesn't have the answers.

So new religions are replacing the old. Just as has always happened throughout history.

:) It's the natural evolution of society.

problem is two fold

one it is profitable to separate some off the herd and keep um to yourself

two
nobody practices accountability (mat. 18 and epistles to TIM) cuz if they did the preachers who are not worthy would be suddenly very lonely.

Read your Bible and look around you can tell the true Christians by their fruit. God will send you whoever you need if you study to show yourself approved and do what you know you should like pray and read and do acts of kindness.

If you are not currently a member of the Body of Christ if you continue to do these things you will soon learn how to become one and somebody will be sent to you to instruct you in what you may be lacking.

any church who holds itself separate from the others is in error

There aint 100 of relgions, but Islam, Christianity, Judaims mirror eachother in a certian way, Islam was born because there was lot of sin the in the world, people were not doing what was asked of them by their prophets ( peace be upon them) and so therefore Islam got established and God taught a set of rules through Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) so people know the meaing of life and give people chance to repent and learn and seek the light., Islam has never been changed as Chrsitanity Judaisn has unfourtently, Islam says to respect Christanity, Judaism, and other people's belief, but to protect Islam from attacks and cristisms in self defense, God ALLAH for Muslims gave people relgions to understand them of Judgment day and to worship him by understaning religion, Islam does not say its the best , but says its the truth and as i said Islam came about beacause people were going astray and so therefor God ALLAH, wanted to bring Islam to the world to keep people to the right path, because other previiosu relgions were changing all the time and people lost faith. so God ALLAH, sort out somethign different and make people to get attached to Islam and take them on the straight path, its up to individual to what they do, Islam does not force people to do anything , but Islam guides them if they want to be guided.
