No, I don't think so. The parking lot at the Taco Bell Resaurant where I first met my fiance face-to-face is holy, but only to me.

We call it the Holy Land because it is the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity.

A friend gave me a rock from the shore of the Sea of Galilea where it is believed that Jesus preached. To most people, its just another rock.

Something that is considered 'holy' is only holy because people think it is. People belonging to 3 major world religions believe the Holy Land is so I would say that is true. That's a lot of people and it's interesting that they can all agree on that.

Or, find every holy place in the world and count up each person that believes it is the most holy. The place with the most points wins.

It is taking into account all the major events that surround this one area that so influences 3 Major religions. I'm sure Buddhism, Shintoism, Animism, et al have their "sacred" places, but they only apply to one religion for one spot each. The "Holy" Land is a confluence of Islam, Judaism and Christianity and all interact on the same sites.

Only when they are not killing one another and forcing each other off what they perceive to be Holy Land. I believe Holy Land is any land under your feet.

No it is considered "the Holy Land" because the events recorded in the Bible and other Holy writ originated there. God created the earth and everything in it. Therefor the earth is sacred to God.

It will always be more holy than other parts of the world because it is where God's people are centered at. The Bible speaks of this area in future days. Yes, it is war torn but it always has been and will be but one day it will know peace. As the Bible predicted God's people the Jewish nation has Jewish people comming back to it in large numbers.

Man is created in the image and likeness of God. Anything resembling God is Holy, Joyous, Peaceful, Tranquil and Fulfilling.
If you can learn these qualities from a Prostitute, then she is Holy and when you acquire these qualities from anyone, then you are holy. Holiness has its origin in feeling and attainment. All outer expressions of it on earth are mere carbon copies of it.

i would say so, i mean thats gods first plot of land and he gonna want to know hows it doin and give it advice from time to time... and i think god has something special planned for north america
