I was just thinking about this today when reading a article on the web. Please no B.S replys.

Last time it didn't go so well..
There is the problem that Canada is still a part of the commonwealth which means that you would not only be contending with Canada, but the military forces of all the commonwealth members.
You would also need to bring back a serious draft before doing it. Let's face it the first thing Canada will do to defend it's boarders is conscription. So is it really worth it, the cost of actually invading it and the potential of it not going well are quite great.

RIGHT! Canada has more civilian small arms per capita than the US. The Canadians are a very tight sociaty. They are also used too harsh weather conditions. They have terain advantage on thier side. They have external support that borders on UNENDING. They have a very vibrant HE (high explosive) industry and a HUGE per capita population that is familar with using HE.
If I were a military commander and I was faced with the invation of Canada I would just resign. There is NO reson why that many people should end up dead on both sides.
BAD IDEA!

Probably not. We have the military might to physically do it, but we'd end up fighting the whole world because they wouldn't let us attack Canada. Just like countries come to the aide of Kuwait and Iraq, they'd form a coalition to help Canada and try to stop us.

I lived in Canada for 8 years, why would you impose your govt on them. It would be like going into your Sister's house or Brothers and tell them what they can do and not do......We are attached,
mostly same ancestry.....until the last 20 years...when the liberals allow immigration without rules....or standards.....
U.K and Australia also like cousins....you might not like them to stay too long...but would fight for them....
Travel get out of the States....it will only make you love your Country more...trust me.....We have it so easy we are spoiled...
and greedy....Make sure if you can to give some back...

It would be possible. It would take a significant military offensive. But yes it could be done. It would be absolutely illogical to do so though.
