Do you notice a pattern for when it gets worse? Like after exercise or certain activites? I would start a log and document everything you do (including what you eat and drink) and what level of pain you are at. After a while you may start to see some patterns that would have otherwise eluded you.
As for meds, well its sounds like you've tried all the traditional routes already. Maybe look into some alternative medicines? Herbal remedies, relaxation techniques, acupuncture, yoga? If I were in your shoes, I'd try everything; I hate headaches.
I'm assuming they did a CT scan or an MRI, right? If not, that should be your next step!
Hope you feel better...

Going along with what mommy has already said I only can think of one other thing to try in my relationships with some of my friends in a situation similar to your own. Have you noticed that the migraines are worse if you go out in the day, especially if it is bright and you are not wearing sunglasses? My friend Pat had horrible migraines for years and was on pretty much all the prescription the Dr's could throw at her as well as the full gambit of test. Her main problem was that she had an extreme sensitivity to light, especially sun light. Of course not everyone can be as luck as her and marry a multimillionaire who could take care of all her needs, including a home that's second level was entirely under ground, but you can try wearing sunglasses whenever you are out in the sun or avoid it as much as possible by doing all your shopping and such at night and see if that helps you situation. Best of luck.

Get yourself to an actual Migraine specialist. Migraines that last more than 72 hours with less than a four-hour pain-free period while awake are termed status migrainous and need to be broken because they increase risk of stroke.
Sometimes IV infusions of pretty simple meds can break a migraine cycle. These meds include magnesium sulfate; antinauseants such as phenergan, compazine, and reglan; depakote; keppra; or steroids.
Keep in mind that neurologists aren't necessarily migraine specialists. They treat all kinds of things. You really want to find a specialist who exclusively treats headaches and migraines.
Good luck!

Doctors try to cure the disease, not prevent it. Migraines are your body's way of telling you something is missing. Try taking Magnesium tablets. They will not stop the pain like IBU, but it will put back the missing minerals your body needs. The migraines will go away and if you continue to take the magnesium they will be few and far between. Good luck. And you can find the magnesium tablets at any drug/grocery store.

This doesn't sound like a migraine. You should definitely visit another physician. Also, try therapeutic massage, it might help the pain.

sounds to me like you may have a pinched nerve in your neck. Or a slipped disk or maybe some pressure on a disk in your neck. happened to a good friend of mine. You need to have an mri or cat scan done. Might be able to have something done or learn exercises to relieve the pressure. Good luck sweetie!!!!

suck on ice! it really works! the coldness counteracts with the nerves that cause migranes. it also slows the blood flow by narrowing the aggrivated nerve.
and yes, it could be something more serious such as a pinched nerve in the neck or even a viral infection-gone chronic like hepatitis c. get tested!
good luck.
