sorry when you have money you can not get help. I was a single parent as my son was growing up and I did not use aid I got a job and raised him, he then learned if you want something you have to work for it. You could always get a job. I am disabled and have medicare. If you are too sick to work you can apply.

Forget the education fund - thats not allowed - thats what the public schools are for. You were silly enough to tell them you have a bank account with savings in it. Now you either go out and get a part time job, or you use up the savings and then reapply.

If you were rejected then you obviously make too much money. Its about time they start rejecting you illegals medicaid. Thank God!! I've been a single mom for 10 years and never been on welfare. Because all you lazy people ruin it for people like me. I have to work and so should you. Diabetes doesnt keep anyone from working. My step Mom has the worst kind of diabetes there is. SHE works 2 jobs.......you people are just lazy and fat!!

Sometimes if need be you have to be one step ahead of the system. One friend has 5 little ones 9 on down and gets housing food stamps, AFDC and they will help with school supplies and clothes if needed. She knows every food bank in the area that gives out free food clothes. They only allow you to have just a few bucks in savings so if that's your prob spend it on something they would 'be pleased about(I'd make sure to see their guidelines).' If you get turned down you can reapply right, just make sure you adjust to the requirements and get a list of other charities that give free food, here there are many. God bless

I agree get a job that would be the first thing to do. Diabetes shouldn't keep you from typing or talking on the phone as a receptionist, telemarketer, dispatcher, personal secretary, or a simple cashier. If you can get on some place with benefits, you might just be alright.

Employment with benefits is your answer. Get jobs, diabetes is not a valid reason for not working and public services are not a right so no whining please! If you have savings, live off of them and get jobs.
