The federal fair labor standards act restricts the jobs that children can take.
At the age of 18, you can get what's considered "dangerous" jobs, such as at a manufacturing facility.
At 16, children can work in foodservice jobs.
At 15, you can work in "non-dangerous" jobs, like being a cashier at a retail operation (think Target or K-Mart).
At 14, you can work in agrictulture businesses
Under the age of 14, you can babysit or work a paper route, or work in a family business regardless of the method of work.
And yes, there are limits to the hours that people under the age of 18 can work.
And homeschooling makes no difference.

there are some places that hire at 14 but mainly they hire at 15 or 16...i dont think that there are any different rules for homeschooled teens and school taught teens...there are a limited amount of hours that you can work in a week and in some parts you cant work past a certain time on school nights...if you cant find anyone to hire you then start babysitting..its pays pretty good...depending on how much you charge and how many kids

Being a paper woman is something you are able to do at 14 yrs old. For a job which incorporates a cashier at a food market, you want to be a minimum of 16 yrs of age. even once you turn 16 in some years, you'll nonetheless want an id (Indentification) card to teach your age, and they'll do a heritage verify in basic terms to easily be particular you are able to legally artwork i.e. having a sparkling list; no felonies or misdemeanors by any skill. desire that enables!

Well, you can't get a 'real' job like an adult. (If that's the type of job you're thinking of, like being a businessman, or something along the lines of that).
You can, however, do thinks like work in a store (be a cashier or something). I, personally would reccomend being a golf caddy. My brother did it for two day, and got 240 dollars! (He was working at a country club with rich people). You could also babysit, or something like that. Maybe housesit, or petsit too.

Where I live, kids my age (I'm 14 too) can pretty much only get jobs at Dunkin' Donuts and maybe a few other little places in the mall. It doesn't matter whether you are homeschooled or not. Maybe you should try babysitting. If that doesn't suit you (doesn't suit me either), you should try asking around at various places.

In Australia, the legal age to start working is 14.
The young kids usually get rostered on weekends and after school hours.

In the U.S. (or at least in California) you must be at least 15 and a half. Then you can get a worker's permit and you can work. However, if you're into something like Background acting for kids then you don't need a worker's permit. However, background acting doesn't pay much at all. And it doesn't get into the acting business. If you want to be famous you need to go to auditions. I speak from experience.
Hope this helps. =)

I had a "real" job at 10 and got a regular paycheck. most employers are scared to hire a young teen because the "laws" are so confusing.
